As you may be aware, there is currently a shortage of semiconductor chips across the globe. These chips are essential to the production of vehicles and other electronic devices so is causing logistical disruption worldwide.
But that’s not the only issue the industry is contending with. Closed ports, substantial shipping demand, the recent blockage of the Suez Canal and absenteeism at Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) factories mixed together is creating a perfect storm that is yet to bottom out.
While supply of the chips has now been secured, post-COVID-19 demand continues to impact the sector as it also tries to recover from early pandemic factory shutdowns in March 2020.
With predictions set to see these short term delays carry on over the next six months, we expect things to improve over the next 12-18 months.
To ensure we continue to provide the best service, we have been working closely with manufacturers and suppliers that have vehicles in stock or reduced waitlists to minimise any impact to you.

At this present time, we are still able to provide quotes and place new orders. Once your order is placed, we will keep you updated on lead times once we receive confirmation from the manufacturer and/or dealer.
Due to the shortage, some lead times may be affected. We will maintain regular contact with our manufacturers and suppliers to provide ongoing updates.
To limit the impact of this shortage, some manufacturers are changing the standard specifications of certain models. Should this affect your order, you will be notified directly.
